Steal Her Style Part 2

As I said in the last Steal Her Style post I was going to do this feature in two seperate posts, one for Casual Mens Wear and one for Red Carpet/Black Tie/Night Out Mens Wear. So here is part 2.
I chose Janelle Monae for a few simple reasons, firstly she rocks Menswear as her signature style. She doesn't do casual, it's red carpet, uber stylish always. Secondly it is such a high fashion look that I can only do it justice by using someone that is Style through and through.

So here's my picks to replicate her style

Alternatively if you don't want to go all out you could team the jacket and shirt with your staple black skinnies or a little more dressy with a pair of leather look leggings. You can also substitute the plain white shirt with something more you, like a white silk blouse or vest.
The outfit above Blazer, Shirt and Trousers can be all tied together nicely with the following neck tie.

Janelle Monae has chosen for the menswear look to be her trade mark style and rocks this trend throughout her public appearances and any media/photoshoots she does. Even giving a ballet tutu her menswear chic edge for The Atlanta Ballet Presentation of "big" by Antwan "Big Boi" Patton in which she also performed.

When translating this trend to your daily wardrobe, unless you are a fashionista through and through rocking red carpet style on the runways of the Dublin streets on a daily basis, then we need to dress this style down slightly. Taking cues from the celebrities daily style gives us a better idea of how we can rock it.
