LOVE, WANT, NEED, HAVE TO HAVE

For my LOVE, WANT, NEED, HAVE TO HAVE post for this week I have chosen this Oh So Amazing dress from Jen's Pirate Booty. I am totally in holiday mode at the moment when it comes to my choices for Spring Summer as my husband and I have booked our Summer Holiday. Everything I am buying or lusting after has to fit into my holiday wardrobe somehow whether for beach or bar. I have been in love with this label for a couple of years now ever since I saw of piece of theirs on One Tree Hill. Their bohemian aesthetic and wearable styles fit both my personality and style perfectly. I don't think I have seen a piece yet that I don't adore. Worn by all those Bohemian Style Stars the label has gained quite a few followers and has been spotted on everyone from Alessandra Ambrosio to Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, who is a big fan.

The brand is available from many online outlets but this one in particular I found on The Trend Boutique and happens to be on sale at the moment, for $104.99. Always a plus! I am so completely obsessed with this dusky rose colour, it's probably my favourite colour to wear. I am hoping that this will be one of the pieces squeezed into my suitcase (which no doubt will be overflowing) come holiday time.

Major!!

Having some serious tattoo envy at the moment. I love tattoos and have done all my life. I began planning my first tattoo when I was about 12 which I then got when I was 20. For the last year I have been planning my next tattoo down to the final little details and I hope to get it done very soon, well at least before I go on holidays this year. While planning my second tat I have also planned further down the line and have planned in detail number 3 and have ideas for 4, 5, 6 and 7. Is that crazy, Ha! Anyway during all my tattoo research Ms. Erin Wasson's tattoo style is one that I adore and encompasses pretty much everything I love in a tattoo. Major Tat Envy

Not only is her tattoo style amazing, I am starting to obsess about her style in general. She always looks amazing with her rocker slash bohemian chic style and I am definitely in love with her jewellery line, Low Luv by Erin Wasson which I'm going to be doing a post on soon.
What do you think of Erin Wasson? Are her tattoos to you taste?

Steal Her Style

I was flicking through my usual roll of sites on Sunday when I came across the latest pictures of Rihanna. Having finally gotten rid of the blonde hair and returned to a gorgeous black she decided to post some twitter pictures of her new style. Not only did I notice that her hair is now AMAZING again but the other factor that caught my eye was her top.
I love it. I have it! And guess what, so can you. Rihanna is wearing River Island. Rihanna was in River Island HQ about a month ago, so i presume she picked it up then. As River Island is my favourite store I know the depth of the love the store has for Rihanna with the large selection of Rihanna tshirts available in store but little did I know she loved River Island back, until now. I love that she's wearing high street and something that all of us can acquire. When I saw that picture of Rihanna in RI HQ the first thoughts that went through my mind were collaboration line. Oh the possibilities. Wouldn't that be just beyond amazing.
Anyway you too can steal Rihanna's style here with this fab River Island Rolling Stones Tank
For £20, eh you can't go wrong.

Honourable Mention

My Honourable Mention for this week is the gorgeous Miley Cyrus, photographed last week on the Red Carpet at Muhammed Ali's Celebrity Fight Night XIII, where she later performed.
Wearing an absolutely STUNNING, Peach Jenny Packham silk gown with an asymmetrical hem and an open back, the beautiful Miley blew everyone away. Her gorgeous Ombred wavy cropped hair complemented her subtle makeup and simple jewellery. Her nude peep toes only elongating her tanned legs. I have never noticed before how beautiful and blue her eyes are and this whole look with the careful selection of colours just made them pop even more.
Miley who has been working out alot lately, having been spotted at Pilates regularly, showed off her toned arms and legs in the dress which did everything it possibly could to accentuate the hard work the Miley has so obviously been putting in.
Miley has really begun coming into her own in the past year and her new more toned body teamed with her drastic hair cut are showing the star's transition into adulthood. I think she looks amazing and I have a feeling that we're going to be seeing alot more of Miley looking this sensational in the future and she will, no doubt, be joining my list of Style Stars.

Honourable Mention

I've been a little MIA lately due to the charger on our laptop deciding it had had enough. I was really annoyed about it as it happened the day after i'd started preparing my Golden Globes post which meant not only was I unable to edit the post but i was also unable to post it. I missed the moment and the moments after for posting my dress favourites for the SAG awards and also the Grammys. In order to get back into the regular posting here is my Tuesday post of my Honourable Mention of the week, none other than the unnaurally beautiful Rihanna.

Rihanna is in London for the Brits and took time out to attend Stella McCartney's showcasing for her Autumn Winter Evening Wear 2012 Collection during London Fashion Week. Wearing a stunning Emerald Green silk dress with open back and thigh high split, Rihanna in my opinion blew everyone out of the water.
Acessorising this fabulous Stella McCartney creation with simple gold jewelery layered on in such a sexy tantilising way, Rihanna looks awesome. She wears what looks like four different neck pieces, a collar of simple gold under an open at the front, neck cuff combined with a thinner chain and cross pendant along with what seems to be at the moment, a signature piece for the red carpet, her body chain, which you can also see on her back. I absolutely love this piece. She wore it previously at the Grammys in her Georgio Armani Collaboration dress. I have also seen Beyonce in the past wearing a similar piece. Sheer perfection. Along with the necklaces Rihanna layered up the simple gold rings on her fingers aswell as a thin banded finger tip ring, which again I love. Finishing her decked out fingers with some simple gold bangles, it is very clear to be seen that not only is Rihanna the Queen of accessorizing but she has a truly lust worthy jewelery collection as alot of the pieces she wears regularly. The dress is complemented so well with Rihanna's amazing legs pointed in a sexy pair of strappy gold sandals.
With Simple makeup, a nude lip and gold shimmery eyes Rihanna truly stands out as a Major style star. Her latest hair colour, sleek and her stiletto nails in true gold shimmer all finish this look perfectly. I wouldn't have worn it any differently and I acutally couldn't pick holes in this look even if I tried.
Pushing the boundaries regularly is something that not only gets Rihanna her headlines but she is seriously good at it. I love that she can change up her grungy day style with fishnets and suspenders and then give a double whammy performance with such a sexy, sophisticated and beyond gorgeous dress for her red carpet style. Bang On!!!

The **X in Xfactor Was Revealed

So yes, I like to post about everything that is in my head even if it is a little late. I should have posted this last week but seriously, I have a child and Christmas in Retail is so hectic is doesn't really leave alot of time for anything, especially blogging. So anyway, the Xfactor has finished and I am crowning the beautiful, sassy, sophisticated and oh so damn gorgeous Kelly Rowland the undoubted winner of the style stakes. These are her dresses from the Finale Weekend.

Week 10:
Saturday: Nicholas Oakwell Dress, Crisian and McCaffrey Shoes, De Beers Jewellery with an Amanda Wakely for Ernest Jones Cuff
This is such a beautiful dress. I love the collar detailing and the plunging neckline. The colour is gorgeous and really suits the beauty that is wearing the dress. I love the slight pleating detail on the skirt and the way it falls is so pretty

Sunday: Bespoke Julien MacDonald Couture Dress, Giuseppe Zanotti and H. Stern Jewellery
Saving the best until last. WOW!! You can tell this dress is couture. The details on this dress is superb. The fit, the design, the colour the hem line are all so truly gorgeous. I love it. Oh if only all of us could afford bespoke couture designs, then we'd all look Awesome all the time.

I think it's obvious for anyone to see Kelly Rowland has officially landed as a Style Star. She rocked it pretty much everytime. Here are my top five of the dresses she wore over the course of the 10 weeks.
I love each and every one of these top 5 for different reasons, but as a collection, WOW!!
So that's it for Xfactor for another year. Whether Kelly will be back for another year is yet to be seen, but if she is, you know she's gonna smash it.
I'm delighted for Little Mix who won and for Tulisa who genuinely seemed to be emotionally invested in the group. I love their style as a girl band and their voices are spectacular. When they sang Beyonce's If I were a boy my hairs stood on end and that's when I realised how good they really were. I'll get their album once it comes out, that is if they stay true to their style and don't get caught up in the hype and change who they are.

The **X in XFactor Continued

Ok so yes, this post is a little late and should have gone up last week but I work in Retail and it's the busiest time of the year so I have put the blog slightly on the back burner while working my tush off. This is the second last of my Xfactor Posts, I will cover the final weekend on a separate post.
As per usual Kelly "Smashed it" when it came to the fashion competition between her and Tulisa.

From Left Week 7:
Saturday:
Sass & Bide Spring/Summer 2012 Dress, Christian Louboutin Shoes, Lorraine Schwartz Earrings, Rings from Asprey and De Beers
OMG, OMG, OMG I literally DIE for this dress. I took such a sharp intake of breathe when I saw this dress that my husband had to ask me if I was ok. ITS AMAZING!!! I am now truly obsessed with Sass & Bide's 2012 Spring Summer Collection. (I will be doing loads more posts on the line coming up over the next few months)

Sunday:
Philip Armstrong Dress, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, MCL Earrings and Dolce and Gabbana Bangles
I love the colour.....that's about it really. Not sure of this shape of Kelly at all. She looks like a goddess in the maxi styles but just don't love the "Irish Dancing Style" of this dress or the Atelier Versache dress in Week 1 (Seen Here)

 Week 8:
Saturday: Georges Chakra Dress, Christian Louboutin Shoes, Lorraine Schwartz Earrings, Asprey Rings and Georg Jensen Bangles
Not a massive fan of this either. I would have preferred it without the unnecessary white ruffle on the shoulder.

Sunday:Hugo Boss Dress, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, Lorraine Schwartz Earrings and Bangles and Asprey Rings
I really love this dress, very ethereal, Grecian and very beautiful however I think had it been accessorized more in line with the style of the dress, I think it could have been breathtaking. A simple gold strappy Jimmy Choo instead of the blue Giuseppe Zanottis would have done the trick.

Week 9:
Saturday: Osman Dress, Nicholas Kirkwood Shoes and Georg Jensen Jewellery
Love this. It rocks. I am getting more into the cut outs on the waists of dresses and seriously with washboard abs like hers, why not rock the cuts. Love the monochrome with the harsher shapes and angles of the slits and the shoulders teamed with the straight fringe and the poker straight hair. Perfect

Sunday:
Jenny Packham Dress, Nicholas Kirkwood Shoes and MCL Jewellery
My Sweet Divine. PERFECTION in every way. If only every dress looked like this and every person to wear a dress looked this good.

Kelly Rowland has truly put herself into Style Icon status this series for me. As ya'll know Queen B has rocked it for a long time, in my opinion, but now Kelly has thrust herself in to my Style Star Rankings. Props to her and her stylist, who is, by the looks of things, Fantastic.

A Quick Catch Up ~ Rihanna!!!

I went to the Rihanna concert at the beginning of October with friends. The ticket was my Christmas present last year from my wonderful husband. Now, to say that this woman is Fierce is an understatement. SO BEYOND AMAZING. I love her music. Her album Loud is one of my favourite albums ever. I feel it's completely versatile and has something for everyone. I don't think there is anything about her that I do not love. If you've touched down on my blog before you may have already realised this fact. On top of her music she is definitely one of my Style stars too. From her street style to red carpet style to her stage outfits. I love it all.

I took so many photos and videos on the night it was next to impossible to edit them down so i have picked some of the best photos to showcase this girls fabulousness.

The concert was Amazing. I cannot even describe quite how good she was. The best concert I have ever been to, and I have been to alot of concerts. She sang all her hits and sang mash ups to her collaborations. She literally had ever person, in the sold out arena, singing along with her.

I was on such a high after the concert and did not want it to end. I would have quite happily gone back and done it all again the next evening and every evening for a week. I wish I had bought tickets to go see her again when she returned for her second night on the 25 of November.

Rihanna I salute you. Two words ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!

Was anyone else at this concert in Dublin? Do ya'll love Rihanna as much as me?

Honorable Mention

For this Week's honourable mention I have chose the Stunning Nicole Richie. Photographed on Sunday night in Los Angeles at the annual Museum of Contemporary Art Gala.

Nicole is wearing a Julien McDonald Autumn Winter 2011 Dress. The gorgeous mauve colour compliments her skin tone perfectly and I love the exquisite leaf detail which decorates the bust and high neck. With an open back and a floor length sweeping tail to the dress, I literally cannot fault it one bit.

As Always Nicole, the best ambassador for her own brand, accessorized the dress with her own House of Harlow 1960 'Olivia' python clutch, silver strappy heels and silver jewellery. Absolutely fabulous.

Her makeup was absolutely flawless with a soft smokey eye and pink lip.

J'Adore this outfit, everything about it. It's Ethereal, it's pretty and classy but yet Nicole is still able to show off her personality with the backless detail and her Angel Wings tattoos on show. It's something I would love to wear myself and I wouldn't style it any different. As I've said on many occasions before Nicole Richie is definitely one of my favourite Style Stars. I'm always on the lookout to see what she's going to wear next. I especially love it when she flies the flag for her own lines, House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate as I am a massive fan (Check out my post of Winter Kate 2012 Collection).
Did you rate this outfit?

Tuesday 8 November 2011

Honorable Mention

For this weeks honourable mention I have chosen the beautiful Queen B. Beyonce was papped getting out of his Major Mobile in New York. I have to say pregnancy really suits her. She is absolutely glowing. For someone so high profile I love the fact that she's pushing boundaries in fashion during her pregnancy. She not resigning to living in a tracksuit and uggs (like I did ;) )

I love everything about this outfit from the blue jeans to the stunning red jacket and the oh so gorgeous Alexander McQueen Scarf. Everything looks so beautiful together and there is nothing like a bright red jacket to ensure you're spotted in the crowd. Not that Beyonce has any problems in that regard. And those heels, WOW! The Alain Quilici heeled hiking booties, TO DIE FOR!! As high as they are they actually look quite comfortable.
Who was your style star for the week? Did anyone stand out enough for an Honourable Mention?

Tuesday 1 November 2011

Honourable Mention

For a new feature I am going to take someone that I have seen through the week whether it be a celebrity at a red carpet event or in a pap photo or another blogger.
So for this weeks Honourable Mention, I have chosen the beautiful Lauren Conrad, pictured last week attending the Autumn Party Benefit for the Children's Institute.

I love Lauren. She has such a flawless style. It's simple yet truly effective and she always stands out when photographed. This outfit is no exception. Truly SPOT ON!

The various nude tones in the dress and accessories with the touch of pink for the lip. Absolutely divine. I love her hair too, the faux bob with the simple waves. Fab!

In a BCBG Dress, Jimmy Choos and a vintage clucth Lauren looks exceptional, Radiant and so beautiful.

If this is a look that you are loving as much as me, check out Lauren's Beauty Blog (which I also wrote about here) for the Red Carpet Breakdown.
Is Lauren's a style which you strive to emulate? Is she a style star for ya'll?

Monday MUST HAVE

Big Glasses. Need I say any more. A fashionista staple piece. An item that every girl should have in their collection. Some are never seen without them, some rock them to hold back a bad hair day. Hater Blockers or Paparazzi Shields or even just a cover up for not wearing any makeup. I have to admit I am obsessed with big sunglasses. I wear them everywhere even during the winter. I'm not crazy, the light hurts my eyes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. When it comes to the style stars it doesn't matter whether the go aviator or square, tortoiseshell, black or white, as long as the frame is big then it's all good.

If there is any style stars that I could replicate their collections it's the Kardashians. I swear you rarely see these girls in the same glasses more than once. An impressive collection of every brand under the sun and all of which absolutely fabulous.

Or Nicole Richie, a self confessed sunglasses buff. She told Teen Vogue that she owns has 200 pairs and is the proud owner of every pair of House of Harlow 1960 sunglasses she ever designed. Jealous much?

I am of the opinion that you should invest in at least one pair of really good sunglasses. I have a gorgeous pair of Chanels that I bought years ago and when my daughter was about 5 months old she knocked them off my head onto the kitchen tiles. I shed a tear I have to admit. I also own a gorgeous pair of Ralph Lauren Aviators which I adore. Making up the rest of my collection are an Accessorize large rimmed pair which I got for 7 euro in the sale last year and some River Island and H&M pairs. And I will say this now I way prefer the designer ones, not just because they're designer but because the fit, the don't slide off my nose or head and they don't pinch behind my ears. I really believe that sunglasses are an investment and if looked after well will stand the test of time.
So here are my picks of the sunglasses on offer.

Today:

             E15.38                                   Both Asos                           E19.23

Some Day:
     Alexander McQueen E242.30                                D&G E271.78
                   Chanel E205                                           Tom Ford E352.55
                   Balenciaga $345                                 Victoria Beckham $470
Do you die for those Amazing Balenciagas. I swear if ever a scratch card went my way some of these would be my first port of call. Check out Asos for a fab selection of both highstreet and high end sunglasses. Alot of what I've shown here can be purchased from Asos. The Victoria Beckham, Balenciaga and Chanel and aren't on Asos and generally have to be bought in store or places like Brown Thomas. You have to be very careful buying online for fear of copycats for these particular brands. House of Harlow 1960 can be bought from Singer 22.
