ONE X 5

For my ONE X 5 for the Floral trend it took me a couple of days to actually decide which piece to work with. There are so many fabulous pieces out there that I really couldn't make up my mind. Should I go floral dress, playsuit or jumpsuit, a pair of palazzo pants or a jacket. I have after much deliberation decided to go with this gorgeous Pixie Lott for Lipsy playsuit. The outfits may seem like alot of the same but at the end of the day it is a playsuit so it is slightly harder to mix up. However I think that I have shown the range of outfits and looks that can be achieved with this fab little piece. When it comes to clothes you have to get your money worth and I think that if you can get those 5 separate looks out of the one piece, then your purchase would have been worth it.

So here are my outfits.

Bikini Victoria Secret, Sandals Aldo, Bag Juicy Couture at Asos,Sunglasses
River Island, Bracelet Miss Selfridge, Mac Lip Conditioner,Clarins SPF,
Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara, Towel Calypso St. Barth

Kimono Asos, Sandals River Island,
Bag Topshop,
Jewellery House of Harlow 1960

Jacket and Bag Topshop,
Shoes and Ring Asos,
Necklace Belle Noel

For this outfit I wanted to change it up slightly. As a fashionista you have to think outside the box at times and not take everything so literally. I have seen one of my favourite bloggers Fashionnerdic chop and change outfits for so long from wearing dresses as tops and tops as dresses and everything in between so this outfit was slightly inspired by her. There is no reason why this fab little playsuit can't be altered slightly in it's purpose and worn as a top under a flowing pleated skirt. The playsuit is small enough to not create too much additional bunching on the tummy area and with the skirt being so lovely and flowy it will skim right over any volume created by the playsuit. From occasion you do need to power blazer it and this outfit can do just that for the perfect Power Blazer Brunch.
Blazer and Skirt Asos, Shoes Aldo,
Clutch Zara, Sunglasses River Island,
Watch Michael Kors, Ring House of Harlow

Jacket Miss Selfridge, Boots, Sunglasses and Ring Asos,
House of Harlow 1960,
Perfume Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna

Everything I use for my ONE X 5 are pretty accessible to everyone. As you can probably tell House of Harlow 1960 is one of my favourite jewellery lines and can be bought from quite a few different online sources such as Asos, Revolve, Charm and chain and the Trend boutique to name but a few. For those of you from Ireland it is now available from the Design Centre in the Powerscourt Centre in Dublin. I haven't been in to see their selection as I am in fear of how much the price will be increased just to be sold in Ireland. I will be doing a Obcessed feature very soon which will talk a little about my favourite designers, design houses and fashion lines of different varieties. And I will most definitely be foucusing on House of Harlow 1960 for one of the posts. I hope you like my outfits.

ONE X 5

For my Ethereal trend, (which I know has dragged out for like 3 weeks, I'm sorry) I have chosen this sheer ballerina style skirt for my ONE X 5. It's pretty, it's ethereal, It's girly and it's so very NOW! You can't walk down the high street without spotting a skirt like this in almost every window display and why not choose this gorgeous one for my post. A sheer skirt is definitely a MUST HAVE for this season ( I should have done it for this Monday's MUST HAVE but didn't get a chance, so next Monday watch out for it). I hope you like what I have come up with. If you want to look at any of my other posts for the Ethereal Trend check Trend for the Week, Who's Wearing It, Highstreet Style, Accessorize It and Spot the Style, for a simple refresh of the memory. :) I promise next week's Trend for the Week (Floral) will actually be done in the course of one week, like they should be.

ONE X 5

For my ONE X 5 for this trend I have to stick with my favourite piece from the Utility side. I have already done the trouser as a MUST HAVE and now i'll show you 5 different ways to wear it. I do this as a justification to myself so I can allow myself to buy the piece. In the past I have had a bad habit of buying amazing statement pieces that may only be suitable for one type of event or one type of outfit and then once it's been seen once it's remembered so I might never wear it again. This is very counter productive and a waste of money so I have been trying to change my bad habits and buy clothing that can be mixed and matched with everything else in my closet which can then completely restructure and outfit and be suitable to wear to everything and anything. Recession Chic!

I'm going to go with this pair from River Island

When doing the ONE X 5s I try my best to ensure that everybody can identify with something that I post about. Whether it be with teens and finding something they like in the summer bbq or festival outfits or someone more family oriented with family responsibilities and the school run and errands day outfits or the single, flirty and thirty something fashionista who spends her days in the office and her free time dining with the girls or .... I hope that I am covering all the bases and showing a wide variation of how to wear certain pieces. Enjoy!

Jacket Zara, Top and Scarf River Island, Shoes Aldo,
Bracelet Miss Selfridge, Bag Topshop, Sunglasses Asos

Bag, Sunglasses and Hat Asos, Earrings Miss Selfridge,
Everything Else River Island

Tshirt Asos, Bracelets and Scarf Miss Selfrige,
Everything Else River Island

Earrings and Watch Asos,

Everything Else River Island

Jacket Topshop, Everything Else Available on Asos

What do ya'll think? Do you like my outfit choices? Am I the only person obcessed with the Utility trousers? I also love these trousers for festival fashion so I will use them again in another ONE X 5 as a feature instead of the ONE piece further down the line when I am doing the 70s trend and festival MUST HAVES

ONE X 5

For the Menswear trend and my choice pick i have toyed between the key piece blazer or the trouser. Both the pieces are equally as important to the trend and i love both however as I did a Blazer for my last x5 then i'll do the trouser for the menswear trend.
Here is my pick of the trousers

Asos Tux Style Chiffon Insert 7/8 Trousers E52.48
I picked these trousers out of all the vesatile styles that are on offer as I feel that practically everyone has a black trouser in their wardrobe. The style can be mixed and matched with almost everything and for every event or occassion that they would be worn to. This pair are affordable and as an ASOS obcessive I can tell you their clothes are good quality and do wash well (i might sound like your granny but these are the things that are important when buying clothes)
 Here are my 5 outfits
Body Rare Opulence at Topshop, Shoes River Island, Bag Asos, Watch Asos, Jewellery Belle Noel, Makeup Bobbi Brown

Jacket Asos, Top Topshop, Shoes Asos, Clutch Topshop, Necklace Miss Selfridge, Cuff Asos, Lipstick Mac, Nars Illuminator

Top, Jacket, Bag and Cuff all Asos, Shoes Aldo, Earrings Belle Noel, Makeup Nars

Jumper Asos, Bag Monsoon, Shoes River Island, Bangles Miss Selfridge, Glasses Asos

Blouse, Blazer and Shoes all Topshop, Coat River Island, Bag and Watch Asos

So there you have it, one affordable trousers and 5 ways to wear it. I thought this might have been one of my more difficult pieces to pair up but once i got started I had about 15 possible outfits. I surprise myself sometimes (wink wink). Now if only i had the money to match my levels of obsession, then i'd be happy. Hope ya'll enjoy. Let me know what you think and hold on tight for my last post on MensWear, Steal Her Style, it's an extra special one so pop back again soon.

ONE X 5

Following on from the Bold Colour and Colour Blocking Trends I have just about covered every angle possible. This trend is great for the summer and will bring a splash of colour to any grey day in Ireland. I have seen probably every Bold Colour on the high street and to finish this trend I want to show you my favourite piece from the high street and give you 5 examples of how i would wear this piece. I have chosen this Orange Blazer from Zara, also seen here and here.

As you can see in the photo you can dress this Jacket down with a simple pair of cutoff jeans and a green striped tshirt. This outfit is you everyday chores, hanging out, weekend type outfit. All pieces available from Zara.

I have now completely justified buying this fabulous piece. This is only 5 outfits but there are many more possible because the jacket is so versatile. When it comes to Zara jackets you are buying a piece of clothing that is not only comfortable but also such good quality. I will most definitely be saving up for this beaut to add to my collection.
Have you any Zara jackets/blazers? What do you think of the outfits? Will you be purchasing?
