Now that it's officially the run up to Christmas, ie. I've seen the Coca Cola Christmas Ad, it's now time to make my Christmas List.

First Look

The first look of the latest MAC Viva Glam 2012 Collection has hit the web. The amazingly eccentric Nicki Minaj and Ricki Martin are the latest faces of the campaign which benefits the fight against HIV and AIDS. They are not a couple you would necessarily place together, but, by the looks of the picture, they're absolutely fabulous.

I can't wait for these 2 pieces, the lipstick and lip conditioner, to hit the stores in February. I love Nicki Minaj and I'm obsessed with the barbie pink lipstick that she wears. And when 100% of the profits are fighting these unnecessary diseases, I can't think of much more of a reason to buy both.

ONE X 5

For my ONE X 5 for the Floral trend it took me a couple of days to actually decide which piece to work with. There are so many fabulous pieces out there that I really couldn't make up my mind. Should I go floral dress, playsuit or jumpsuit, a pair of palazzo pants or a jacket. I have after much deliberation decided to go with this gorgeous Pixie Lott for Lipsy playsuit. The outfits may seem like alot of the same but at the end of the day it is a playsuit so it is slightly harder to mix up. However I think that I have shown the range of outfits and looks that can be achieved with this fab little piece. When it comes to clothes you have to get your money worth and I think that if you can get those 5 separate looks out of the one piece, then your purchase would have been worth it.

For this outfit I wanted to change it up slightly. As a fashionista you have to think outside the box at times and not take everything so literally. I have seen one of my favourite bloggers Fashionnerdic chop and change outfits for so long from wearing dresses as tops and tops as dresses and everything in between so this outfit was slightly inspired by her. There is no reason why this fab little playsuit can't be altered slightly in it's purpose and worn as a top under a flowing pleated skirt. The playsuit is small enough to not create too much additional bunching on the tummy area and with the skirt being so lovely and flowy it will skim right over any volume created by the playsuit. From occasion you do need to power blazer it and this outfit can do just that for the perfect Power Blazer Brunch.

Everything I use for my ONE X 5 are pretty accessible to everyone. As you can probably tell House of Harlow 1960 is one of my favourite jewellery lines and can be bought from quite a few different online sources such as Asos, Revolve, Charm and chain and the Trend boutique to name but a few. For those of you from Ireland it is now available from the Design Centre in the Powerscourt Centre in Dublin. I haven't been in to see their selection as I am in fear of how much the price will be increased just to be sold in Ireland. I will be doing a Obcessed feature very soon which will talk a little about my favourite designers, design houses and fashion lines of different varieties. And I will most definitely be foucusing on House of Harlow 1960 for one of the posts. I hope you like my outfits.

Acessorize Ethereally

When you're looking to accessorize you Ethereal style you have to keep in mind the true meaning of Ethereal. It's about that dream like state. The world of the unknown and the sheer beauty of the real woman. Strip it all down. Bare essentials. True Beauty.

Always keeping in mind the ballerina style within this trend. If I was to wear this trend I would keep it free from any crazy jewellery. Maybe just a set of pearl earrings, pretty studs and a simple string of pearls or dainty chain with a small pendant. Same for a bracelet, very simple, small links and not overpowering in the slightest.

The earrings are available at Accessorize as is the string of pearls. The cute bracelet is available from River Island.
Wear with the ballerina bun, the ballet flat and pretty pastel makeup. Here are some pumps that I have found that really fit in with this trend.

The bottom row is available from River Island and everything else is available on Asos.
When doing your ballet bun if you are having problems getting the shape right or having problems in any way I highly recommend getting yourself a donut. I bought mine in Penneys and haven't  had any problems with it. It helps make that perfect shape desired and also for people with thinner hair it helps to make your bun the desired size. I've seen them in Claire's Accessories if you don't want to spend the big bucks but they are available from Salon Services, Terri Sales and any shop that sells hair extensions. I'm more than sure you could probably get one in most chemists too. Here's the Hairspray tutorial on how to apply them. It's always handy to have someone there to fix anything that you cannot see but it is fairly easy to do on your own.

In Makeup the pastel colours are a trend on their own. Take a leaf out of Rihanna's book and go for something soft and girly like the baby pink, lilac or blue. Mac brought out their Quite Cute Range in April

but they've moved on to Surf, Baby range now (J'Adore by the way). There are probably most of the colours still available at your local mac or See Mac's Fashionflower range. Or for a cheaper alternative Rimmel have their Glam'Eyes Collection.

For the Menswear trend and my choice pick i have toyed between the key piece blazer or the trouser. Both the pieces are equally as important to the trend and i love both however as I did a Blazer for my last x5 then i'll do the trouser for the menswear trend.

 I picked these trousers out of all the vesatile styles that are on offer as I feel that practically everyone has a black trouser in their wardrobe. The style can be mixed and matched with almost everything and for every event or occassion that they would be worn to. This pair are affordable and as an ASOS obcessive I can tell you their clothes are good quality and do wash well (i might sound like your granny but these are the things that are important when buying clothes)

So there you have it, one affordable trousers and 5 ways to wear it. I thought this might have been one of my more difficult pieces to pair up but once i got started I had about 15 possible outfits. I surprise myself sometimes (wink wink). Now if only i had the money to match my levels of obsession, then i'd be happy. Hope ya'll enjoy.
