Steal Her Style Part 2

As I said in the last Steal Her Style post I was going to do this feature in two seperate posts, one for Casual Mens Wear and one for Red Carpet/Black Tie/Night Out Mens Wear. So here is part 2.
I chose Janelle Monae for a few simple reasons, firstly she rocks Menswear as her signature style. She doesn't do casual, it's red carpet, uber stylish always. Secondly it is such a high fashion look that I can only do it justice by using someone that is Style through and through.

So here's my picks to replicate her style

Asos Tailored Contrast Lapel Cropped Tux Blazer
E65.60
Asos Fitted Shirt E14.43
Asos Linen Tab Detail Wide Leg Trouser E39.36

Alternatively if you don't want to go all out you could team the jacket and shirt with your staple black skinnies or a little more dressy with a pair of leather look leggings. You can also substitute the plain white shirt with something more you, like a white silk blouse or vest.
The outfit above Blazer, Shirt and Trousers can be all tied together nicely with the following neck tie.

Asos Chiffon Bow Neck Tie E10.50
Asos MARKY Mono Leather Lace Up Brogue E45.92

To rock it just like Janelle team the outfit with a pair of large stud earrings in a black, gold or white, just like is shown in the pictures above. The House of Harlow 1960 14ct Yellow Gold Plated Sunburst Button Earrings are fab.

House of Harlow 1960 @ Asos E47.23

So what do you think, are you Man enough to rock this style? Do ya'll like Janelle Monae's personal style?
That's it for now with Menswear, next trend....Urban Sport/Utility

Steal her Style

For Steal her style Mens Wear edition as promised I will be doing to different outfits. With this particular trend the dressy and casual styles are so different that this is why i have decided to be doing 2 steal her styles. For the casual I have chosen one of my favourite outfits from the past year. It's casual, yet stylish. It's dressed down yet super cute. That effortless style that we all want to achieve so hopefully you will find this helpful you're you're everyday, effortless style.

Kim Kardashian
The one and only Miss Kim K, who's style I adore and think that think outfit is adorable. I could see myself rockin this for the Irish summer, never knowing whether it's going to stay sunny or rain. Perfect effortless chic

Asos Tailored Cropped Boyfriend Blazer

Asos Basic Roll Sleeve Boyfriends Tee
E13.12

River Island Khaki Crop Chinos

For the sandals i knew exactly where i was going with this as River Island have stocked a pair just like these for probably the past 4/5 summers, however they aren't on the website so these are my alternatives
Miss Selfridge

For the bag I couldn't quite decide which bag to go for. Obviously if I had the money I would be buying the Balenciaga City Bag that Kim herself has however as I don't have a Kardashian's bank balance I may settle myself down and get one of these.
Asos Leather Keeper Detail Satchel E91.84

Warehouse @ Asos E85.28

Mischa Barton Buckle Shopper @ Asos E85.28

For the Scarves again I couldn't decide so here are a few choices that would fit the bill perfectly. Or do as I do and go to Penneys and get youself a collection of scarves to suit your mood. Cheap, chearful and I actually think I've seen a scarf just like Kim's in store

Topshop £16.00

Menswear Highstreet Style

We have been blessed in this country with a highstreet that can literally have you looking a million bucks for 100 Euro. From Penneys to Zara, River Island, Topshop, H&M, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse, New Look and my new ab fab Forever 21.
I love designer and high end fashion but like many others of you out the I can't afford to shop in BTs or other places like that. I love the idea of mixing high end with high street but again it's the couple of high end pieces that I am lacking. However I literally spend all day every day scrolling through clothing websites online and have a tendency to find the copies for the designer pieces i've been lusting after. I once went in to Aldo and asked the sales person did they have the Givenchy copy, I swear he looked at me like I had 10 heads.. These are the shoes below,
Aldo Ameling Shoes
Giuseppe Zanotti Design

Anyway when it comes to Mens Wear the key pieces are the Blazer, the Trouser, The Blazer Waist Coat and the crisp white shirt. Think 3 piece suits. Other Pieces worth noting would be the shirt dress which feminises the masculine style, and also the over coat which for women translates to the must have Mac. Basically having "boyfriend" in the title is a dead giveaway. The boyfriend jean, the boyfriend cardi and the granddad top are all staples within this trend.

Here are my picks from the highstreet

When It comes to wearing this trend, you have the option to wear it completely Like A Man or otherwise to make it more feminine or more you by adding a blouse instead of a man style shirt. The pussy bow blouse, which is available pretty much everywhere, a recreation of a 70's style which i will talk about soon as another of my trends, is a great we to feminise your Menswear style. These are my top picks from the blouses on the highstreet.
