Ya'll have probably noticed that I have a serious case of wedding fever this wedding season and have been on constant bride watch. Today the beautiful Lily Allen got married to her groom Sam Cooper. The singer and her new husband who have been together since 2009 said their vows in a gorgeous little church in the Gloucestershire village of Cranham.
Lily who owns and runs "Lucy in Disguise", a vintage boutique, with her sister Sarah took her fashion styles to the limit in choosing the theme for her wedding day. All vintage inspired from her cream, pastel peach and baby blue flower pretty bouquet to her Delphine Manivet designed dress. The singer who was expected to wear Chanel, approached the French designer in January after a friend recommended her.
The dress, 1970's and 1990's inspired according to the designer, consisted of a undercover dress covered by a second lace dress with long laced sleeves, a sweetheart neckline nipping in with an empire line cut which fell to finish in a fishtail skirt and 3ft train. Keeping with the vintage style Lily wore a 1920's full length lace veil and floral adorned headpiece to accompany her unique dress. The lace in the dress and veil was made in Calais, France with Lace Tulle also used
She looked truly beautiful and so happy which is exactly what a bride should look like on her big day. Her glow was easy for everyone to see and on top of the joy of the day the news of her pregnancy was also announced. Her bump could be seen subtly with the empire line of the dress skimming lightly over it. After the tough time she's had lately it is so good to see things working out for her. I hope everything remains on this happy note and like in the movies the happy family lives happily ever after.
