Preheat your oven to 220 degrees celsius.
Sift 10 1/2 oz of Self Raising Flour, A Teaspoon of Baking Powder and a pinch of Salt into a bowl. Add 2 oz of Cubed Cold Butter |
Rub the butter into the Flour with your fingers until it resembles fine breadcrumbs |
Take 10 Fl.oz of Buttermilk |
Add 1 and 1/2 oz of Golden Caster Sugar |
Mix your buttermilk into your mixture |
Sprinkle flour onto a dry clean surface to ensure your mixture won't stick |
Roll out to form a dough about 1 and 1/2 inches thick and start to cut your scones |
Place your cut scones into a greased baking dish |
Rub milk onto the tops of the scones to give a nice golden finish, easy enough for a child to do. |
Put in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden, then enjoy |
It's literally that easy to do. Only take a few minutes to prepare and are so yummy you may even find yourself making a second batch. Hope you like
