Trend for the week 70's Revival

Oh the 70's, where life just looks like it was easier. Everyone was happy (or high), the colours were psychedelic, nights out were clean, fun and on wheels and everyone travelled to festivals in beetle vans... Whats not to love?

I love love love this trend. Everything about it! The 70s Revival brings a whole new and fresh look at a fabulous time for fashion. Flares, Prints, Pilgrim Cut Blouses, Tassels, Suede, "Chelsea Girl", the over sized floppy hat the list goes on and I love it all. The 70s trend prints were taken to a whole new level with the emerging Aztec, Navajo and a modern leopard print. Flares are cut better, Wedges became more fashion forward and tassels were put on everything. This trend for me is Bohemian, Retro and FABULOUS! Alot of the runways showcased this trend with the designers giving their visions of what 70s Revival is all about. From ADAM putting just a few uber retro outfits down the runway to Mara Hoffman, Pucci and Roberto Cavalli putting entire Boho 70s esque collections out there for us all to enjoy. Here are some of the runway pictures showcasing 70s Trend.

ADAM

Alberta Ferretti mixed her trends this season by putting down a boho, 70s style runway with sheer fabrics and floral prints along with crochet and embroidery. You can see other looks from the Alberta Ferretti runway in my Floral Trend

Badgeley Mischka's stunning collection was again a mixture of the trends with sheer and modern metallic running through the 70s inspired cuts and designs.

Blu Marine had a mixture of some serious Leopard Prints in Pinks, blues and neutral tones but these are my favourite pieces from the collection

Charlotte Ronson combined florals with boho plaits

Now we come to my favourites.. I am more than just a little bit obsessed with Mara Hoffman. I want her entire collection. I could literally wear it every day, if it was possible.

Marc Jacobs' collection was inspired. He colour blocked the best of the 70's colour palettes with beautiful accessories and fabulous cuts putting an entirely unique and modern update of the 70's

Roberto Cavalli took the 70's to an different realm. Putting a completely boho/Woodstock vibe on the collection. It's eccentric but it's fabulous. This is Ibiza in the 70's. Fantastic!

Anna Sui is definitely one of my favourites. She combined the stunning neutrals with a blue story and almost an American Indian/Ranch feel through some patchwork effect pieces. The combination of textures with sheer, crochet and feathers completely make this collection special.

And finally, a definite stand out collection, Emilio Pucci. Peter Dundas outdid himself. The amazing connection between flowing and sheer pieces with the detailing of mirrored effects, lace up tops and cut outs in fabric while bringing the browns and mustard tones through in typical but updated Pucci patterns. WOW! It was definitely the celebrities favourite too with many being spotted on Red Carpets wearing gorgeous pieces from the collection. Stay tuned for Who's Wearing it to see the celebs picks.

Their Website say of the collection "Island Life. Authentic, irreverent, insouciant. The wardrobe of a traveler."
"Crisp cottons, feather-light silks and liquid jerseys are all washed to feel like sun-dried favourites, desirable and luxurious. ".
J'adore
