Another Royal, Ex Ugly Betty and a Wag

So Kate Moss wasn't the only person to get hitched this week. The other Royal Wedding, that of Prince Albert of Monaco and his fiance Charlene Wittstock, a South African ex Olympic Swimmer took place yesterday. This wedding was surrounded by controversy with reports earlier in the week of a runaway bride. Supposedly the bride tried to flee but her passport was confiscated at the airport due to suspicion that Prince Albert fathered a third love child. Whether that was all media speculation and sensationalising a rumour, I don't know. But the wedding went ahead and shut down the streets of Monaco. For a Bride I have to say she didn't look entirely happy. I mean look at Kate Moss, Lily Allen, Lily Aldridge and all the other brides this year, especially Kate Middleton. They were all bursting at the seams with happiness and brimming with their hopes for the future, but there was a sadness in her eyes.

She did look beautiful in the stunning Armani gown which reportedly took 2,500 hours to prepare, of which 700 hours were spent on embroidery alone. The dress is gorgeous but I do think the the off the shoulder cut accentuates her broad swimmers shoulders. She has such a tiny little waist and hips that a more vertical shoulder cut might have looked more flattering.

They said their vows in front of 850 Guests in the courtyard of the Prince's Palace. The guest list was very impressive with Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Karl Lagerfeld and Georgio Armani amongst the guests. The Prince's Family were also in attendance with his sisters Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie with their children, the Bride's family aswell as a number of various other Royals, Heads of States, Actors and Athletes were there to witness the happy day.

'Kilometers' of the platinum-coated thread sewn into 130 meters of off white silk was used along with 40,00 Swarovski Crystals, 20,000 Mother of Pearl Tear Drops and 30,000 Stones in Gold Shades. The train was 5 metres long with 20 metres of silk tulle and took 100 hours to make. WOW!

The couple left the building to a choir singing and the new Princess was pictures wiping away a tear.

Ugly Betty Star America Ferrera married long time boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams last Monday night. She wore the Amsales Christos J'Adore Gown with Fred Leighton Earrings. The strapless, dropped waist gown had a French Corded lace body and tiered pleated tulle skirt. They got married at Vanessa Williams house in Chappaqua New York. I absolutely love, love, love this dress. It is sooooo pretty, romantic and Ethereal

Model Abbey Clancy and Footballer Peter Crouch also got married this week. Following a hectic year of cheating allegations and a new baby they finally made it down the aisle. And doesn't she look amazing. Love the dress, perfectly polished and everything that a model should look like on her wedding day.

The stunning strapless, corseted, drop waist dress was designed by Giles Deacon. The designer told Vogue
"We talked about the dress initially three or four months ago. She wanted a dress that was very flattering; very worked in its detailing; with a big romantic skirt that was cool not prissy. We made the corset base first then tried various skirt shapes and it developed in very organic way.
"She called me when I was in Paris when the dress was delivered - after five fittings - and she was delighted with it. The whole dress took six weeks to make. I thought she looked really herself and gorgeous."

Her signature Tousled hair was teamed with a smokey eye and red nails. I love the look. Very glam

What do you think. Did Princess Charlene come close to Kate Middleton? Did you like America's and Abbey's dresses. Who has worn your favourite dress so far this Wedding Season?
