Wedding update

I have covered a little bit of the wedding news that has dominated recently from the dresses to the rocks and the fashion in between. In my run up to the Royal Wedding I also did a post on Wedding Fever and upcoming weddings and another about Lily Aldridge and the launch of Victoria Secret Bridal lingerie, speaking on the day of her impending wedding to Kings of Leon frontman, Caleb Followill.

Well she's officially off the market, she traded in her lingerie for Vera Wang and married her rockstar. The stunning bride said her vows in a beautiful custom strapless mermaid dress with layers of Chantilly and corded lace applique and raw edge swirling chiffon detail on the back, to her new husband, decked out in Gucci at the San Ysidiro Ranch in Montecito, California on Thursday.

The superstar couple who first met at Coachella and had been together since 2007 had kept the wedding date secret up until the day. “We don’t really want to say—but it’s soonish!” told FashionEtc in late April, adding that she was taking a low-key approach to wedding planning.
“I’m not a Bridezilla at all!” she insisted. “I’m the opposite. I’m so, so mellow. But I’ve definitely gotten all my stuff together, like what underwear I’m going to wear, my gown, my shoes. ” Followill, whose bandmates brothers Nathan and Jared Followill and cousin Matthew Followill were all in attendance, told Us Weekly.
The couple "said their vows underneath a big tree with twinkle lights " just before sunset. "Lily cried throughout the whole thing" a source to US Mag. Once the ceremony was over, the couple and their guests had dinner in front of a big stone fireplace and spent their first night as newlyweds in the Lilac Cottage, a $1200 a night one bed cabin featuring a king bed, a masonry fireplace, heated bathroom floors and a sunken outdoor hot tub rainshower.

Sounds like a beautifully intimate day. My kinda wedding. I wonder if she chose Victoria Secret lingerie for her special night. What do ya'll think of the dress. Hit?!?
